1998 infiniti door chime wont work
It is probably the chime itself but of course no guarantees. The other possibilities are the ignition key cylinder and the BCM (Body Control Module).
The chime is mounted on the backside of the dash trim panel that is above your knees when sit in the driver's seat, by the bottom right corner of the fuse panel.
See if fuse # 40 in the top right corner of the fuse panel is blown. If ok, see if you have 12 volts on the yellow/blue stripe wire. This is from the fuse. The other wire, yellow/red stripe will be 12 volts when the chime is off and 0 volts when it is supposed to be making noise (door open, key in ignition).
