Today, I got the car rolling around after changing the engine and converting it to a manual. The car starts and runs normal, stalls when driving around and letting off the gas(need to do idle relearn) otherwise, it seems to be acting normally. One thing I have noticed is that MIL on the instrument panel never lights up.

I drove the car over to O'Reilly, tried their scanner and it cannot get a connection to the ECU. We tried different cables and scanners, no dice.

I have check ALL the fuses. I found one bad fuse for the cig lighter, but that did not change anything.

I have tried both the M/T engine and A/T engine harness, no luck.

I am still running the A/T ECU because of the NATS.

I am also still using the A/T instrument panel.


Any ideas? I am hoping somebody has a quick idea before I start ripping things up.
