maxima dash/interior lights pulsate
hi,
I have a 2002 maxima with 155k. About a few months ago, my alternator went. So I purchased a reman from advanced. It went in without any problems. Since then, I notice randomly and intermitting, that my gauge cluster and dome lights pulsate. It seems the more load I give it for example; hit the brakes, turn on the dome lights. seems to aggrevate the pulsating. Also when the alternator went, it happened on the way to work, it drove fine, no battery lights or anything. then when I arrived at work and put it in reverse to back in, there was no throttle response, and the dash "idiot lights" came on and when I shut it off the battery was dead. What should I check? thanks in advance

I'll second the alternator is going to take a dump on you. If you want, have a voltmeter with you and when the lights pulse, measure the voltage, it should be steady and not fluctuate. You could also try setting the meter to AC volts. It should be real close to zero on the 2 volt scale.
