i think you reset it by holding the two outside buttons down. but i dont have homelink and i have only messed with the one in my dad's lexus once about 6 months ago. i could be way off. but it should definitely be in your car's owner manual.

Go to yahoo and search for homelink. They have a website and a toll free # for free tech support.

Re: Question about Homelink

I went to the Homelink web site. They had instructions for a variety of scenarios covering all the vehicles that support Homlink, including the Maxima GLE.

http://www.homelink.com/programming/programming.html

I believe they even have instructions to print out.

It's a pain to figure out with the rolling-code garage door openers. You do have to reset the Homelink by holding the outer two buttons for 20 seconds or so. Then, you need to press a "Learn" or "Program" button up on the garage door lift unit itself. You have like 30 seconds to program the Homelink after that using the door controller.

Step1) press and hold both outside buttons at the same time for 20 seconds. You will know when the time is over because it will start to blink. Once this happens then release.

Step2) have the garage door opener up at the homelink and press the center button and then press and hold your garage door opener unit the blinking rate of the light changes, (fast to slow or slow to fast, sorry, it's been 4 months)

Step3) Unless your REALLY TALL get a ladder and climb up to your garage door opener motor and find the reset button. (It is usually on the left side) Press this button one time and then go press the center button on your homelink and it should work.

Step4) If it does work, please send $5 to me
