throttlebody bolt stripped

Hey everyone. I finally got around to installing the 5pc nwp spacers last weekend. The only problem I ran into was getting the throttlebody off to install the spacer. I got 3 out of the 4 bolts out. The one bolt i cant seem to get off is the lower left bolt. I stripped it and no matter what I use, I cant seem to get a vise grip or a needle nose onto that bolt bc its a tight space as well as a bracket is in the way too. Im sure some of you had some problems with the throttlebody getting it off. Can you offer me any other ideas? Thanks

Remove, manifold w/ TB attached and add some elbow grease.

Ill try and get a picture of it. I didnt want to mess with the throttle body too much and unplug it and then the ecu wont take the relearn. But if i have to then I will. Ill probably take it to a shop to see if they can take it out. I thought of drilling it but kept thinking i will damage is bc of how sensitive the throttle body is.

Could I be able to use a dremel to cut a slit into the bolt head and maybe use a flat head screw driver and hammer it to break the bolt loose?

Seems like a bad idea.

A trick also good for removing stubborn bath tub drains. I think removing the manifold with the tb attached and the dremel trick would work perfectly together. I would worry about unplugging the tb.

Or, if you remove the manifold, you can actually physically turn the TB in the proper direction since there is only one bolt left (anti clockwise). That may cause the bolt to loosen as well. I'm not sure if there is enough room to do it with the manifold bolted up.

Ill try that knight. the space is so tight I cant get anything to get grip out that bolt especially with that little braket screwed underneath that bolt as well but Ill try it though. Ive taken the manifold off but had the throttlebody still plugged in.

The TB isn't very sensitive. You could take it out and throw it around on the ground like a ball and as long as you don't break the electronics on the side it would be fine.

It gives no ****s if it's plugged in or any superstitious stuff like that. You're not going to be fingering the plate.
