Almost all of my right side lights are burnt out
Almost all of my right side lights are burnt out
Hello all,
I have a strange problem that I am almost 100% sure is of grounding issues but I wouldn't know how to fix that and I need some second opinions.
Ok. When I first got my 2001 SE used a year ago, one of the right marker lights was burnt out (the red one in the rear). I said "ok... I don't really care about that so meh..."
Then slowly as the year passed by, more and more lights started burning out on the RIGHT side...? The front right fog light went, and only the right one. I told myself i'd upgrade to HIDs anyway. Then the front right marker light went, but I also didn't care about that one at all, but I started noticing the pattern. I then bought a set of LEDs from Amerikaner, including ones for my license plate lights.
This is the part where I'm super skeptical. They worked at the beginning, but a few months in, ONLY THE RIGHT License Plate LED light went out. The left one works fine! But the right one burnt out. It's weird cause it's an LED....
Are they all connected to the same grounding wire that is probably frayed or something? My headlights still work, but I know they work because they're on their own separate circuit I believe.
Any suggestions would be helpful! This has confused me

It is interesting, but I doubt that a bad ground is the issue. A bad ground would either make the light dim or not light up. The ground wire for the lights in the rear may be the same for all the rear bulbs, but it is not the same as the ground for the lights in the front.
The only bulb I have ever have burn out is the left rear marker bulb and it has burned out 3 or 4 times. I find that interesting, too, but I change the bulb and go on my way.

Hmm... Well maybe that's the problem! Maybe it's simply the ground is bad and they're just not lighting up...
I'll replace a few bulbs and see what happens... Thanks for the idea tho
