2000 Maxima winshield washer pump

Hello, I have a 2000 Maxima and the windshield washer pump is not working. I don't get any sound when I activate the spray switch. Are there any fuses for the windshield washer pump? It looks like the bumper cover needs to be removed to replace the pump, so I would like to find a bad fuse

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

Sorry to have to tell you this, but the washer pump motor gets power from the same fuse that runs the wipers.

Unless you can find a broken wire or something like that, you will have to replace the pump motor.

Has anyone had any success replacing the pump without removing the bumper cover? Can it be done be removing or pulling back the passenger side inner fender? It seems like a really tight fit.

Thanks.

I had to do this on a 2000 i30 since my pump was cracked and leaking. Just takeout the inner fender and empty out the tank, remove the pump motor by pulling it out. After just put it back on but apply some silicone on the gasket and leave it a few minutes for it to dry before putting washer fluid back in the tank.It worked out for me, hope it does for you.

I took my pump out a while ago cause it quit working (had 12V @ pump but no worky). Inner fender pulls back and it comes out easy.

I never replaced mine - would you mind reporting where/how much you got yours from? Thanks!

I am picking it up from Napa today for $15. Will replace it tonight hopefully. You can find two parts on Napa online, but the $15 one looks to be the exact replacement. I wont know for sure until I get the old one out first. Will report back.
