There comes a time....

As a 4DSC owner, I typically never really feel the urge to engage in any type of street racing. That being said almost everyday on my way how I get this kid in his early 20s piping and taunting me on the highway on the way home.... This has been going on now for like 4 months.... I typically just laugh as his fast fast baby blue integra with the body kit held on with sheet rock screws and the coffee can muffler and shopping cart style handle, I mean wing takes off all loud... But slow with the trail of black smoke to follow him...

So today Paul Walker gets behind me to merge onto the freeway and I can hear him riding out I think third gear in his supercar he motions to pass me in the fast lane and gets beside me and begins to maintain speed with me, then I think he floored it.

So today was one of those days for me at work to where I feel the need to shove it up someone's ***.... So I gave my ride a nice WOT run past him (and with ease I must say). It will be interesting to see if this kid with the integra from the rice patties taunts me again.

So with that being said how many people on here feels it's necessary to prove something in our cars?

Normally I don't... I know it's fast, but today I made an exception.

I will say, however, that to me it's not a matter of "proving something"...but I love the freeway on ramps that have those sweeping turns pre-merge...that VQ is a thing of beauty

"but honey, the speed limit is 60, I'm just doing my part to get up to speed for a proper merge...all for safety"

I know the feeling. I, too have been tempted by coffee can-mufflered ricer Civics and Sentras. Then I think about the price of a gallon of 93-octane gas (currently $3.95-$3.99 in Miami). I let them have it. I know what I have under the hood. Heck, THEY know what I have under the hood. They wouldn't try me otherwise. Besides, I haven't got a ticket in more than 6 years (knock on wood). I don't want to break the streak

Dont really race on the streets, but my buddy brought up his 3000gt to campus and we MAY have done some pulls on the highway.

He got the jump on me on 2 of the 3 runs. The 3rd run was solid, but a scumbag civic cut me off and that was the end of that. Those things are fast.

Sometimes it is certainly necessary, "legally within the speed limit" that is
