Good Price? 2010 Maxima Premium w/ Nav

Hey guys, new here. I have been trying to decide sport or premium. I just found a 2010 with 46,000 miles for $18,995. Its silver with black leather. Looks extremely clean. Any suggestions?

Here are a few pics:

It's about what I paid for my (2 month ago) 2010 with 45k without Navi, but with rear monitor and it was a certified pre owned.

Just looking at the picture one thing I can tell you the tires don't match they have different brands. For some reason I always consider that a red flag thinking the previous owner didn't properly maintained the car and didn't rotate and was too cheap to replace all 4 tires.

Thank you for pointing that out! I didn't notice that.

For what it is worth, it has a clean carfax. However, it looks like they got it from New York.. the car also has 0 service history. I'm just getting really impatient and ready to trade into a Max.

For reference I purchased a 2010 couple months back, I paid 19,000, it had 21,000 miles. I also don't have the nav.

Thank for the input guys. If I could get over not having the ventilated seats and panoramic roof, I would have already been in one. They are hard to find down here.

I'm having trouble finding any CPO's down here. The ones that are certified are either too much money or not a premium. Im still in school and was wanting to stay under or right at $20,000. I guess i'll just keep looking.

I just purchased a 2010 SV with premium here in Atlanta...and I checked out 4 black on blacks before I decided on the one I purchasd. PLEASE take a look underneath the body and check for surface rust. All of the ones I looked at (mostly carmax) were from the north and the amount of rust was ridiculous. Otherwise the car looked/drove perfect. Also, keep in mind any car from the north could have possibly been involved with Sandy.

I was fortunate enough to find one from Florida (which has its own set if problems...but this one checked out underneath). Despite the noise coming from the rear window, I love it!

It was a nightmare, but I'm glad I went through it now that it is over.

I purchased my first 2010 at the beginning of last month and took it to my mechanic (who I've known for 20 years) the next day and he said no way. Given the age and amount of miles (26k), there was no way that car should have had that much rust on it (specifically the undercarriage, engine bay around the battery terminals, etc). Granted the car looked flawless, I knew that despite the hassle I wasn't going to be comfortable with it so I took it back to Carmax and took advantage of their 5 day return/repurchase program.

However, since I had outside financing from my credit union, the only way I could take the "new" one home was to get dealer financing because my credit union wouldn't issue a check until they were reimbursed...and it was the last day that I was eligible to return it. Long story short, it took a few weeks and credit reports run...but all is good now and I have a nice 2010 SV with no rust, a few more miles, navigation, for $500 cheaper. Despite the noise coming from the rear passenger window and the small rock in my driver's seat, I'm perfectly happy.

I'll never purchase a car that comes from the north.

Thanks for the info! I looked at one at Carmax (Hickory, NC) but the price was just too much. I went on Nissans CPO site and have found a few to check into. I was presented with a hell of a deal on an Acura TL, but my heart is set on a Max.

Let me add that if you do decide go to CarMax and plan on using outside financing (aside from one of the 4 options they give you...wells fargo, carmax auto finance, santander, and one other one), I would get pre-approved for the loan through your banking institution or credit union and then purchase the car with one of their financing options...preferably carmax auto finance. That way, if you need to do a return/repurchase like I did after your mechanic checks it out, they can just take the car back and essentially transfer the loan. They will give you 3 days for a payoff which will then allow you to get a check from your bank and credit union and you'll be all set. I did the opposite...and it was quite the headache.

This was the first one I purchased..
