Fan hitting fan shroud. (vid)

Lately my warm idle has been pretty rough and now I know why.
The left side radiator fan is rattling my radiator and hitting the shroud.

Is this something common? I can't find anything un-bolted or un-done.
Maybe I didn't look hard enough, but just take a look.

All the noise is the fan vibrating the radiator and I'm moving the shroud
alittle to see if it helps, but doesn't at all.

Any advice or opinion is appreciated.

I'm thinking that you may have a bad fan motor, in that the armature bushings (bearings) are worn and allowing the fan blade to wobble.

Take hold of the fan blade and wiggle it and see if you can detect any play. There should be no play at all.

Yep, that fan is pretty loose... Does the other fan do that as well? it shouldn't do that at all, just spin. To get you buy until you can get a new fan assembly, you can unplug that one fan. Your car won't run hot if only one fan is working. I can say this because last year my driver's side fan quit working during the middle of the FL summer when it was at or above 95 degrees, and i didn't run hot at all. I was running off the passenger fan only for nearly a month before I replaced the fan assembly. While you're at it, i'd get new radiator brackets, too... they're pretty shot. I gotta get new ones for mine as well, but they're not that bad... yet.

Thanks for the diagnostics.
Right side fan is tight, so I disconnect left side like you said.

edit: btw don't do this my car overheated with the a/c on.
a/c turned off, the needle went past half before I started moving. but it will overheat.

The rubber radiator mount I just rotated sideways on unworn part, but will
still order a set.

One more thing.

There are 3 fans on amazon.
which is the best one?

I'm glad you didn't order the one in your first link as the nissan part number it say it replaces is for an Altima, 97 to 02 4 cylinder.
