? Regarding 5.5 motor mounts

About to replace all 4... Just wondering do I have to replace the one w/ sensor with one that has sensor? I heard it's not needed. Just want to make sure...

If you have automatic car... The car was less refined?? after switching to the ES mounts / mounts made by Knight. Like after getting all 4 to stiffer ones my rear view mirror vibrated like when you are listening to very bassy music and especially in idle, the entire interior vibrates. But it also helped (almost killed) the 1-2 hard shift from the transgo kit.

Where are you buying your mounts tseng?

Supposedly the eBay sets are decent for the money.

What I did to help this problem out was raise my idle to 900 RPM's using Car Gauge Pro app.

Wow that's high. I have mine around 775 and it's smooth. You must burn alota extra fuel?

That's what the tack says, but it varies. I can't remember what number I actually set the rpm to via the app. I haven't noticed a difference in fuel economy, although I'm sure it is down a bit.

Is that even safe?

the car is idling ~600 rpm range (checked using nissan OBD tool )

can the nissan obd tool be used to raise the rpm permenately to 700 range?

Yah I can find the ES mounts on my own lol

I was under the impression you were just buying stock mounts, and was curious where you were getting them as I will be needing a set soon.

Did you buy inserts or mounts with the insert already installed?

NWP torque brace caused the same behavior with OEM mounts. Can't imagine how bad it will be when I get around to poly filling my mounts.

You should reinforce the glove box with foam as well. There's a service bulletin somewhere about it.

Good luck

After the mounts got done the glove box vibrated like crazy. Had to use tape foam stuff and applied it but didn't fix the issue 100%. Dealership helped even further when I did recall so now it's almost gone
