iPhone 5

My iPhone 5 no longer plays music in my car. I worked fine a week ago. The only thing I can think of is the IOS 7.04 update but my son's 4 works with the latest update. I have tried 3 different lightning cables. The bluetooth phone works but it won't play music. The phone charges. The display states "reading file" the just goes blank. Am I alone on this? Anyone have any ideas?

I've got an iPhone 5 on 7.0.4. No issues here. I always stream Bluetooth for audio. Try deleting the phone from the car, and then re-pairing it.

Is the bluetooth streaming only available with Nav? I stream bluetooth in my other vehicles. What baffles me is that I can make and receive phone calls via bluetooth but no music.

POS Apple. Did a phone reset all. Works for now. Bluetooth streaming not an option for me.

When you pair the iPhone it's going to ask you is this a music device... Select yes then it should stream... Now I have the NAV package so there is a separate function for Bluetooth audio...

Music device is not an option. Must be Nav only. It would be nice to have though.

Bluetooth streaming audio is nav only. I use my iPhone 5 with the lightening cable and the new IOS. Try a different lightening cable. I was having issues with my old cable. I bought an adapter that converts the old cable to lightening now mine works fine. I don't have nav.
