2012 nissan maxima S fog light setup?

My girlfriend recently got a 2012 nissan maxima S. it has the plastic fog light covers so I got the factory foglight kit off eBay for her. Come to find out the car is pre wired for fog lights. Do I just have to buy a new turn signal switch that has the fog lights on it? I'd much rather use an oem set up rather then the cheesy eBay setup. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also if the new turn signal switch is all I need, I can get one off eBay for much cheaper then from the dealer. Does the switch out of other nissans (altimas, frontier etc....) work also or is it nissan maxima specific?

Thank you!!!

If its a factory oem kit, it should come with the new oem stock that has the fog switch on it. I ordered my kit from courtesy parts for around $250 shipped or something like that. came with 2 housing/bulbs and the new oem switch.

Whats typical dealer install charge if you buy the kit outside of dealer?

Have not checked courtesy parts yet. I just found some on eBay for a nissan frontier for around $70 for the combo switch. Just wondering if it will work in the maxima. Already have the housings and bulbs.

Well? Have you checked courtesyparts yet and do some research on your own?
Find the service manual for the Nissan Frontier, which ever model year you are looking for, and read it, then compare the pin-outs for the switch with the service manual for the your Nissan Maxima?
Or search for part numbers on the internet and compare the two?

*10 minutes later*

Here, after the results of my research on Courtesy Parts, specifically, the switch stalks:
Frontier Parts and Maxima Parts

They have different part numbers. This means two of things:
1. They REALLY ARE different, and thus cannot be used interchangeably.
2. They are just part numbers, but the underlying components will work.

Now, if you want to be complete, compare the two pin outs via the service manual, as in check how they connect to the rest of the car.
