Security Alarm

Do yall keep the stock alarm system? cause i have tested mine, its stock, it is quite loud..my whole neighborhood could hear it and the headlights flash. although people who put $ into a car usually put a better alarm for common purposes. But im just curious.

My question is to yall, especially with the people with mods, Do u have a aftermarket alarm system, if so what kind? easy to install?

If a thief wants either your car or something in it, they'll get it, alarm or not.

I've heard of People Modding their stock alarm to go off with the shock of a window breaking or being hit hard. As well SS Modding it to beep once when you arm it.
As far as if people instsll aftermarket alarms, well I dont know. But IMHO there wouldn't be much reason to

True, but why make it easy for them? I believe most amateur thieves will skip your car if you have an alarm, and look for much easier prey. I have a custom high end alarm system, with multiple creative safety precautions, and tied to my smartphone with unlimited range. What I've eluded to is the extreme route and very costly. A good basic 2-way alarm will be in the $300-$500 installed range I believe.

Never, ever leave your valuables in plain sight (IPOD, radar detector, CD's etc) To go the extra mile, remove the suction cups for the device you have, hide your Ipod cables etc. A good thief will be able to recognize the mount and know what's probably hidden in your glove box or under the seat. To hide the stereo, consider making a fake faceplate as a disguise. I did.

There are free and very cheap ways too to disable your car from getting stolen...except from a tow truck. Pull the fuel pump fuse, disconnect a few coilpacks, install an ignition or fuel pump cut off switch, etc.

/...end rambling.

I usually keep nothing inside except coin change, but only a cheap $50 single din that i got when it was 50% sale,2years ago. almost every car has a single din so the resale is gonna be crap. because of how popular people want to listen to their music/Pandora than Radio these days
