Hi Guys,

Im a new member her to the forums and just had a quick tech question. I have a 1998 Maxima SE and the fog lights will not turn on. I had removed the factory head lights and tried to replace them with 8000k H3 fog lights. Now the fog lights will not turn on period. I'm not sure if its a fuse or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Did you install the H3 HID kit in the headlights or fog lights?

If in the fog lights, make sure you have the wiring is correct. Check the fuse as well.

 

It was in the fog lights. I never touched the wiring other than connecting the bulb. So more than likely its a fuse? Any idea on what kind I need, where I can find them and how much? Thanks for your help!

 

Make sure you have the power/ground from the OEM wiring to ballasts correct. Maybe try flipping them.

If that checks out, check either the fuse block under the hood or so side for the fog light fuse. I can't recall where it is off the top of my head.

 

Alright here's an update on my situation. I replaced the fog light fuses and relay. I used some mini 15a fuses for the fog lights and the genuine relay that I got from Nissan, still no fog lights. Any Idea's on what it could be? Im lost on this one.

 

Other things I can think of are headlight stalk on the steering wheel or the wiring.

Have you tried putting the halogens back in to see if they work?
