I am purchasing a clutch kit and was wondering should I pick up a flywheel also and I am doing it myself with help of a friend. I am very mechanically incline just never done a clutch on a front wheel drive and I am curious at what I'm getting in to........ Thanx in advance ........ Also I can not find anything on the web to even give me an idea but I will be purchasing a Haynes manual.

All you do is drop the transmission, and everything is right there. You shouldn't need a new flywheel. If needed, your stock one should be able to be resurfaced. It's extremely straight forward if you're mechanically inclined.

Pull both axles. Be ready to lose atf/gear oil.

Look for the member named "the wizard" he has a link to the repair manual pdf in his signature line.

Since you will be removing axles, you will lose tranny fluid. Replace with GL-4 only. Redline MT90 is a well regarded upgrade to your GL-4 tranny fluid.

Thanx for all the info it is greatly appreciated and meaning mechanically incline I'm no licence mechanic and know a lot about your basic engine I.E. GM your standard muscle car but as far as front wheel drive this is my first just want to make sure I'm doing it right and not doing extra work I like to work smarter not harder lol
