Question How do I take off Stock Ballast?

Hello everyone,

It has been awhile since I have been on these forums. Just as soon as I am about to get rid of this car in the next month or so. My HID Light and Ballast blew on the driver side. With that being said, I have ordered a new kit and need to replace the old one. Does anyone know what type of screw/bolt is located on the ballast itself that is mounted? I need to remove that and replace it with the aftermarket ones.

All help would be appreciated. I will be getting rid of a lot of my parts in the next month or so when I get back from Florida..and any help here on out I will discount any parts for those who help

Thank You!

I believe the ballast is just held on by 3 regular Phillip head screws. It's really that simply once it's removed and disconnected from the car.

I believe the bolts holding the headlights to the car are 10mm if it makes any difference. A regular toolkit would be more than adequate in removing this.

Just out of curiosity, what parts are you planning to part out??
