2010 and 2012 lug nut size

I have a 2010 maxima SV with the stock 18s, I recently purchased a set of 19s from a 2012 sport model. Will I be able to use the same lug nuts or will I need a different size?

Thanks!

No, they both have the same tread size but 18's have a tapered-end type lug nut while the 2012+ 19's are a squared shoulder nut. Trust me I currently own both wheel sets. You will need to purchase new nuts.
I think it's the 09'-11' 19 rims that have compatible lug nuts with the 2010 18's.

If it's the the newer style 19's you will need to buy brand new lug nuts...same thread but the older lug nuts are acorn shaped at the bottom while the newer ones aren't. I have an 09 I had to when I got the newer rims. Another $50 for newer factory locks as well as 16 lug nuts. The older acorn ones are designed poorly and was re designed because people that got into car accidents had there wheels braking off the lugs is what the service guy told me. It's one of those doesn't happen don't tell changes. I believe in 2011 or 2012 they changed i don't know...call the dealer and make sure they check and verify u have the newer style lugs vs the older acorn ones.

That may be what you were told, but that is not the reason for the change.

The Maxima wheels were redesigned to match the specifications of the entire line-up of Infiniti wheels. That is, they were changed from hub centered to lug centered design.
This was to help with the infamous front wheel shimmy problem that has plagued the Maxima in recent years.

I would think that asking the Nissan dealer for the part number for both sets of wheel lug nuts would settle the problem.
