I was curious to see what the front seats weigh on the Maximas.

I was thinking about buying a pair of racing seats to lighten the car up.

Anyone have a page or know what the stock seats & aftermarket seats weigh?

I don't know about the GXE seats but my heated SE seats are over 50lbs each (which I why I take out the passenger side one when I drag)

 

Well since you have a GXE I believe the seats aren't too heavy as compared to the powered/heated seats. If you haven't already I would look into lighter rims because you'll see a greater difference when you reduce unsprung weight over sprung weight. Just a thought.

 

hmmm...i just took out my passenger seat and rear seats....it in no way feel like it's 50lbs combine....

 

Racing seats won't save that much weight. My Corbeau's aren't all that much lighter than stock when you factor in the weight of the brackets and rails.

 

That all depends what seats you get. My friends Momo Carbon Kevlars ($1250 a piece) with brackets and rails come in at just over 10 lbs each. The seats themselves are 5 lbs.

 

Yep, i am stuck with the cloth seats.

I just wonder how much it would help me @ the track if i dropepd the front passenger seat (like Aaron does).
