My new DD

Had to pick up a new car because the Maxima has some metal shavings the oil and now is smoking a little bit.

Got a 2012 Toyota Corolla S 5 Speed. Its 1.8l CERTIANLY not as fast as the Maxima but with it being a 5 speed the fun factor sure is there.

So far Ive got:

~SRI
~Scion TC HU
~Smoked LED rear lower bumper reflectors
~6000K HIDs Lows
~Window Visors
~License Plate Relocate

Soon to come:
HID fogs
Rear window roof spoiler
Strut bars/bigger sway bars
Possible bigger wheels

Biggest plus side to it is the 400 miles I get out of the 11 gallon tank :-) . The gas savings alone will pay for more than half of my monthly payments.

That's why George!.... George should understand what it's like to have a dd be reliable.... Lol... This car is going to be far from a money pit.

The Max will be getting a newer engine and be a toy.

No doubt Toyota are reliable (at least the old ones are anyway) but why get something with such a tiny engine for DD!?

I had the dealer run it for any open tsb's and none came up. It already has the smaller mat on the driver side so I think all that has been taken care of.

Nice, looks clean. People don't understand that the 1.8 is rev happy and you have a 5 speed so it isnt too much of a turd. So you get 38mpg? Thats awesome.

75% of my driving is Highway, it's crazy awesome. Even when I am a little heavy on the gas having fun its still gets good gas mileage. Lol

People can hate all they want, even I did , until I test drove it. It will never be a fast car but it's fun and economical, and I still have my Maxima for when I need my speed fix.
