Before I go on, I'm new here and I'm hoping I'm posting in a area that I wont get bashed on for posting in the wrong area, lol. I explored a bit but didn't find any area for this, but if any moderators that may have a suggestion for where it should be, please feel free or relocate this posting, thanks. Anyways.. Hi! I'm Nick, 24 y/o, construction business owner, all originating in the state of NY, except for my used 2012 Maxima that I picked up 3 days ago in Ohio for 10.5k. About my car; 34,700 miles, SV, Crimson Black, Premium Pack, and Premium Technology Pack. Car drives excellent! Beautiful, mechanically and cosmetically, except the rear right side. It had gotten hit by a woman driving a chevy suburban that started backing out of a spot as the previous owner passed it half way was just starting to turn into a parking spot. What a story it was, chevy said after the impact "why were you going so fast, there was no car", lmao. I never knew that drivers can stop looking behind before proceeding to back out. Just before you back out, look one time really good, you cant goof off while doing this guys... for a few seconds, if there is no car for that elapsed time, its obviously safe to back out with ease not having to look any further. Anywhooo... The quotes for repair seems very reasonable for 5 grand including some little extra things I wanted done. I'll post some pics of her in a minute. Off to cleaning now, nice chatting and will check back soon!
If I'm reading your post correctly, the damage was done before you bought the car, and was the reason you got this car for $10,500. A 2012 SV with Premium and Tech packages had an initial MSRP around $40K, probably sold new for between $35K and $37K, and with 34K miles, would probably cost well over $20K if in perfect condition.
The damage looks to be such that I would doubt there is frame damage. The steering system would be unaffected. If you can indeed get this car looking and performing like new for $5K, I think you will have saved a bundle of money on this deal.
Crimson Black is a desirable color, especially for those living up north, where there are parts of the year with temps well below the miserable 90s we will be seeing here in central Georgia until late October.
Let us know how the repairs go.

It definitely is a nice color! At some angles when the sun light hits, the color reminds me of my favorite Nissan color Midnight Purple 1 for the Skylines. My favorite color was actually the 3rd but that would never compare much to Crimson Black like the 1st.
Thanks for the welcoming fellow Maxima owners! Out of every forum I've joined, this is the only one that I've gotten a proper welcoming. Thank you again.
