Well it RUNS!

The misfire is gone so my injector refurbish must have worked. I drove it for an hour tonight. It has a crazy amount of power. I was driving down the interstate in 3rd gear running about 70 on dry pavement when I hit the accelerator and I could feel the front tires breaking loose like I was spinning out on on ice or from a much lower speed.

I need to fire up Consult this weekend and set the TPS, IACV, and get a read on everything else. I do still have a bit of "hard to start" that I think may be from the IACV and TPS settings being so far off..

So far no CEL codes, no coolant leaks, no oil leaks. I did notice the temperature gauge showing it running a slight bit cooler than before -- just below 1/2 way point.

Here's a picture after I drove it for an hour tonight.

With all the care that you take when working on your car, why am I not surprised to hear that the car ran fine? Congratulations on a job well done.

Thank you Dennis!

I wouldn't have tackled the whole undertaking without having the expertise of a great club to keep me from getting in over my head.

Many days I wondered how I would ever get it all back together.

Looking back.

Checked the guides and timing line up. Mainly because the dealer said the replacement engine was bad and so I was about to pull the heads until I saw the condition of the valves, guides and upper oil pan. After I got to look into it I was able to tell the engine in better shape than I had imagined and from a car with only roughly 72,000 miles.

Resealed the front timing cover
New half moons
New front main seat
Resealed upper and lower oil pans
Refurbished the injectors with new screens, pintles and o-rings
Cleaned the intake manifold
New intake and VC gaskets
Cleaned the IACV and EGR system
Inspected and rewrapped the engine harness.
New WS Y-Pipe

Very clean and thorough work. Your car looks like the factory did all the work. Your engine looks new. Congratulations.
