Hey guys, Recently I bought 2012 maxima (used) SV with standard sunroof.
However, I started to notice a rattle noise from passenger side rear deck area and could not figure out the source. I have been to the dealership 2 times now but they are having ahard time to trace the source of this rattle. Anyone had similar issue before?

Edit: Spend more time to investigate. looks like the rattle is live at right side back seat. With half of back seat folded down, I could feel the rattle on my hand when I give some pressure on suspected area (below the head rest). Still could not tell if the rattle is at the area or inside the fender.

 

I had a problem with mine rattling when the sunroof was open. There were broken plastic clips around the drain for the sunroof. Dealership had to order it and then broke it installing it so they had to order another one. Good luck.

Fixed the rattle!!!! It was a similar rattle spot compared to my old honda accord. There is a stainless plate attached to back seat frame (you'll see this plate either side of back seat after removing the leather seats) and one of the bolt spot was the troubling location. After removing the seat, I've removed the bolt from the troubling location and filled it in with foams and the rattle is gone!
