What voids the warranty

This is obviously a newbie question, but what voids the warranty? Will a CAI or Steve's Short-Ram intake void the warranty and what about Y-pipes when they become available. I currently have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee (2002 SE w/HLSD and Navi or order) and I have a K&N FIPK induction and fully modified exhaust done to it and none of those mods voided any part of my warranty as long as any problems cannot be directly linked to my mods causing the problems. I would assume Maxima mods are the same way?

it is the same way... but it really depends on the dealer you take it to for service.

It depends if the dealer kows or cares about the law.

The law is the same for all vehicles.

If they give you any crap, ask them to point out exactly where in the warranty it says mods are not allowed.

That is what I figured. You just have to find a dealer that is cool with mods because I know that law states that you can place after market parts on your vehicle and retain full bumper-to-bumper warranty as long as the problem cannot be directly linked to your mod.

Why can't you just use a tractor for hauling the sheep around, like everyone else?

I can't see how an intake or exhaust would void anything on the warranty except maybe sensors or other things directly connected.
