Top Windshield Tint Strip 7th Gen.

I'm thinking about doing the strip of tint on the top 6 inches of the windshield. Anybody do this and have pics? I know it's slightly factory tinted already but I think it would still look good. Thanks

Yeah I'd love to see this also; pretty sure I'm gonna tint front windshield 50% anyway, but a basis for comparison is always nice

No front license plate along with tinted windows & a tinted windshield are such minor mods that add incredible aesthetic appeal

Not all car commercials do it, but you'll see those two things mentioned above in various ads more often than not

I don't dig the solid strip at the top. I rather have it fade as it currently does from the factory, or no tint at all but the tint does help with glare from the AS-1 line. Some vehicles do not have it due to the shape of the roofline and seating position like in most sport cars, and the glare is no issue.

^This is the actual camera.
You can see that I have the bicycle reflector bracket mentioned here: http://forums.maxima.org/7th-generat...t-7th-gen.html I'm going to try to use that to mount the cam away from the windshield with the 3M stuff. I have the cable routed to the fuse box just as that escort is (thx alexdi)

^Outside view camera is well hidden

^This is the view from the passenger side... The camera is completely out of view.

^This is the view from the DS the camera is hidden nicely only part of the usb cable is seen.

1st thing I'd tell you to do is check your state laws on that. I tinted the strip 35% on mine & got pulled over repeatedly until finally one cop gave me a repair order & I had to remove it. My state law states no tint can be on the front windshield at any time.

Not sure what area you're in or if you have ******* cops like I do in my area, but I'd check just to be safe.

Windshield tint

35% in the windshield and 10% all the way around. I live in and drive around mostly the city of Atlanta and I haven't had any problems with police either. It also appears darker than it actually is because if the black interior. Seeing out of it is no problem at all, even at night.

Btw, I'm still new to this site. How do I easily post pictures into threads and discussions?
