Im going to try in install mine this afternoon using these directions: http://www.seas.ucla.edu/~cheston/dashinstall.html

The instructions for the intelliglows come with the system, it's nothing more then 4 LED rings you place around the base of the needle, the hard part is getting the needles off and getting them back on in working fashion.

I'm seriously tempted to get these... someone's sig pic shows them and they look fabulous. A nice contrast to the gauge face lighting. But I'm quite paranoid about screwing up the precision of the needles. I've seen plenty of horror stories posted of people messing them up and having a helluva time correcting it (or just living with the mistake). Let us know how it works out and if you have any tips, please post. Thanks!

why not. go for it. i don't have the indiglo needles but i have taken the needles off my gauges. very very simple to do as long as you are patient and take your time. initial k's instructions blow though so make sure you check out chestons instructions on his site.

del - y not get the reverse indiglos also?

i'm seriously thinking about doing the reverse indiglo + indiglo needle combo instead of my regular indiglo gauges.

CKNY: Any tips in taking out the needle rests? Im installing the intelliglows as we speak but Im having a heck of a time getting the rests off. Ive tried like 3 sets of tweezers but the rest isnt budging. Those clips on the underside of the stock gauge are preventing the rest from coming out and i cant get those to unclip either.

thanks

Be careful. I messed mine up and had to buy another gauge cluster. Taking the needles out wasn't hard at all. In my case, I messed up when I had to put the needles back where they were. I forgot to mark their recalibrating point. I'm back to the stock gauge which I'm going to put in some color bulbs, keeping it simple. The indiglo gauges are nice and all, but it tend to get old after awhile. I know because I had them.

i thought they looked real kool - the only problem i have is that if u put them on wrong, your readings will be inaccurate and you have to get them calibrated

I'm trying to think what I did about the needle rests. I think all the tweezers I had were too thick. What happened was that my girlfriend came over in the middle of the install. I noticed she had bobby pins in her hair so I took one and used that. I lifted the rest up a little bit with a knife and the bobby pin worked like a really thin tweezer. The only problem was the needle rest went flying!!! It took like an hour both of us on our knees looking for it (I have black carpet) haha. but it worked.

haha -- yeah I finally got them out -- used needle nose pliers and brute force. Rest of the install went well except the LED for the temp gauge is out which kinda sucked, but it was a defect straight from the factory so hopefully theyll take care of it (Im waiting for an email respone). It's gonna be a pain in the as* taking that thing out again.

thanks
