Rear Door Water Leak

I have 2014 and have recently noticed water swishing back and forth in my rear driver door when it opens and close. It obviously shouldn't be doing this and I'm not sure how to correct the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Take it back to the dealer and request a car fax and look for flood damage and if so get another car dude if not demand a new door .

Like he said above it's a brand new car, bring it to the dealer and they'll take care of it. Then report back with what the issue was

Sounds like a munufacturing screw up and drainage wasnt put in that door. I'd say check the other back door for drainage holes and see but being that new it should be going right back to the dealership it came from and demand the put in a new back door. Depending how long the water has been sitting im sure its probably developed atleast some rust whether it be even surface rust on the interior of the door which will spread.

^^ Well, looks like our 7th gen also has this problem.

Just noticed a bunch of water in bottom of rear driver side door, you can see water drain out from bottom if you shake the door.

Surprised to only find this one post on this...guess its not a widespread problem but clearly does happen. Ours is a 2014 sv

Gonna visit dealer I assume

With a metal wire hanger I was able to unclog the extremely small drainage holes in the bottom of the door and all the water came out. Haven't had the same problem since. Hope it helps.

That's a good idea. I remember doing this on one of my old cars. I would take the door card off to inspect the door for any signs of rust.

So I looked at both doors, the bad one looks a bit different where the drain hole is.

Its like a manufacturing defect, the little hole on the bad door looks messed up. Anyway I moved the rubber around and bunch of water started to drain. It drained for a good 10 min and stopped, theres still a bunch of water in the door.

Looks like a dealer trip is not avoidable this time.
