help with 1999 maxima power lock winndow not working
HI,
I have a 1999 maxima. The master switch is turning on when I turn the lights on but wont work for windows or locks. In addition to this, the other three locks are no longer responding when I use the key on the door. Every fuse and relay that have checked works. I'm hung. How can I get my hands on a wiring diagram that is color coded and has legends? or, has anyone encountered this before? Meanwhile, I have to use AC.
Also, I heard about a bcm but I cant find it.
Thank you fi\or the help. I'll do well with pictures.

I don't know about any color coded wiring diagrams, but the Nissan service manual has wiring diagrams in the EL (Electrical Section). Power windows start on page 198, the BCM on page 187 and the master power window switch on page 190.
The body control module is located under the center console on the transmission hump, forward of the shift lever. If you have an auto trans car, there are 2 modules there, one on top of the other. The BCM is the top one. The transmission control module (TCM) is the bottom one.

My first guess is that the master power window switch is fried. It is a microprocessor based switch that communicates with the BCM via a type of data communications. You don't get a lot of troubleshooting options for this puppy.
