google it and see if you can find some pics. of them cut in half to compare the filter media. I use amsoil myself. I've seen the inside of their filters and know the quality is there but im sure the K&N are good too and if im not mistaken the K&N are a wrench off for easier removal.

My dad is a penny pincher and he buys the K&N oil filter because of the welded spot on the bottom for a wrench/socket.
He loves it.

In my opinion, it's not worth the money; but if it's really useful to you, it's no one else's decision.

I use purolator filters.

I ran the K+N filter in the past on my sentra. Not worth the money. Only plus is the nut for a wrench on the bottom. I run fram because they work great and they are dirt cheap at walmart. If you get the one that are dipped, they are easy to get off if you don't install them with a filter wrench (which you shouldn't do).

Thanks for the suggestions. Apparently, from your suggestions and some google research I have come to the conclusion that K&N aren't worth the extra $$ . Thank you.

If your picky and running a good synthetic oil i can vouch for the amsoil filters as ive seen the filter media and can definately say they are well constructed and also rated for longer change intervals but if you don't want to go with an expensive filter and aren't running a good synthetic or using conventional oil than a filter along the lines of the fram will do just fine. If your ever interested in amsoil i believe there is a vendor in the classifieds that sells amsoil products and can give you info.

I think everyone has there own opinion on that and mobil1 is a very good synthetic too. I like the amsoil signature series which is good for longer change intervals and can go past the 3 month's. Same goes for their filters. You could always do a little research on amsoil or try it sometime if you like to form your own opinion but theres absolutely nothing wrong with mobil1 either which is a great synthetic too imo.
