Looking for rebuilt transmission supplier and/or nissan Infiniti shop in Atlanta

It has been confirmed that I need a new transmission for my 2002 I35. I have found a few sources for a rebuilt transmission in the $1,600 range online, but nothing good local to me. Does anyone have any recommendations for transmission rebuilders or Nissan/Infiniti shops in the Atlanta area? I have not decided if I will do the job myself yet.

Thank you in advance!

you might as well get a new Tranny from Autozone, at least it's reman and has a 3 yrs warranty, if you just pick it up and turn in your core. Otherwise, you have your tranny rebuilt locally, you're paying much for the labor, however inquire on the warranty when they do the rebuild?

If shipping wasn't so expensive from Canada I have one for cheap with only 140k km on it from a 2003 Max removed for a 6spd swap.

Yeah we these transmission you are better off finding one in a salvage yard.....rebuilds tend not to last or be very good rebuilds in these transmissions!
Try this site http://car-part.com/ for 02-03 Maxima or 02-04 Infiniti I35. Do not look for the 00-01 as the transmissions was revised in 02 with much stonger internals/parts to handle the 3.5.
