Pearl White SR photos

took a few quick exterior shots of my pearl white SR, which i picked up last weekend. it has a 3M 35% tint all around.

i normally don't buy white cars, but i thought this color did the best job of bringing out the "floating roof" design element, which is one of the striking aspects of this car.

i live in LA and there are a ton of large nissan dealerships, but i had a pretty tough time finding a pearl white SR with charcoal interior. within 50 miles of my home, i only found this one and another white one with the camel interior, which wasn't for me. i found that even the largest dealerships only had a couple of SRs and a couple of Platinums and maybe 3-4 of the other trims.

MSRP was 40k, but the dealership had marked it up to 47k if you can believe that (2k of added interior protectant, door edge film and some security tracking system, then an additional 5k mark-up). i managed to bring the car back down to MSRP, but the dealer was unwilling to budge beyond that.

in any case, enjoy the pics. i've owned some pretty nice cars, but this one by far gets the most stares from onlookers.

WOW! Either you took some really good pics, or I am just LOVING white on this car! I myself was never a fan of white, but this may be an exception. But I would want the Camel interior.

All that interior protectant, door film stuff is total BS and serves no other purpose than for a dealer to steal more money from the customer. My next new car will be pre-ordered and will make sure they skip all that hokey.

Car looks good in white.

Congrats on the new Maxima. Normally I don't like white cars, but white looks amazing on this car. The 8th gen wears every color very well, so it makes the decision harder.

What a beauty! I really like the white. To me it is stunning and a real eye catcher on the 8th gen. I wasn't sure if I would like the black spoiler, but it sure works on your car. The tint sets it all off really well. Good job! (I thought California had strict tint laws, but maybe I'm wrong...)

yeah, you can't go wrong with any of the colors. the design's the winner.

thanks! i'm tempted to swap them out for the available black wheels, but the stock ones are pretty understated but still aggressive.

thanks. i wasn't sure about the spoiler either, but i figured it's just another black element that will contrast with the white body paint. and yeah, CA is pretty strict about front window tints, but the cops in LA are too busy to pull someone over just for that. if you get caught for speeding, however, you will definitely get a fix-it ticket for the tint.

Sweet ride! Congrats!

I think the black rims would look great with the pearl white finish.

I bought a pearl white SR 2 weeks ago, and ordered the black spoiler and the rocker panel molding. Great pics! The spoiler looks great - cant wait. The spoiler is in and I'm supposed to get it installed on Tuesday. The rocker panel is on back order, so who knows. I'll post pics when done. Here in VA, no tint on the windshield (except at the top 4" or so), 35 on the front and 50 on the rear.

nice! looking forward to seeing the pics with the rocker panel. just curious, are you considering the black diffuser as well?

Nice ride.
I wish they offered the spoiler in the same color as the body, but that's more of a personal preference. It sucks that the dealerships aren't really dealing on these cars right now, but that's the price of being an early adopter and one of the first to buy the car. Have fun with her...

i actually wasn't looking to be an early adopter. i just happened to need a larger car and this one suddenly showed up in dealerships. i test drove one and was hooked. i'm definitely a maxima newbie though, so it's nice to find this forum.

i'm sure there is a way to have the dealer install the standard body-colored non-sport spoiler found in the other models. that would definitely look a bit cleaner.

Looked at it, but decided not to go that route. Look up the Midnight version of the new maxima. The diffuser, with that chrome strip, looks hot on that thing. I think if the diffuser could be white/color matched with the chrome at the bottom, that would look OK. But I didn't like that mass of black back there.

Nissans Super Black is a B***h to keep looking good, I decided to try it on my 97 SE and said never again. Seem like every time I washed it a new knick/scratch would be on it and just keeping it clean was a pain, but when it was clean for the hour or so it stayed clean/dust free it looked good.

I, too had a super black Infiniti G37S that I just traded for a grey metallic SR. You are right, that black showed every little nick and scratch and I could not keep it clean for 5 minutes after I washed it. Love my SR. Owned 7 Maxima's over time and got the Infiniti rather than getting the same body style on a new Max when my lease ran out. Not very happy with the Infiniti although the service department was excellent.

the black wheels look great. was it on the lot this way, or did you have to order it like this? also, does your car have the black rear diffuser as well? can't tell from the pic.

I like the way 16MaximaSR announced his new Maxima - 'just picked this up' - like he had just picked up an extra loaf of bread on his way home from work.

16MaximaSR may not be on the board at the moment, but I do think I see the very edge of a black diffuser. That would look very good with the black sports spoiler he has. Striking contrast between white and black. This car will turn a lot of heads. I hope he isn't the shy type, because he will be seeing a lot of eyeballs directed his way.

Wow, I really like the way the rocker panels make the bottom part of the car look. Glad that I plan on adding those when I get mine! Thanks for the pics, the car looks great!

They said 2 hours. Had to work, so I left it for the day. I can't imagine it taking 2 hours though. The spoiler Yeah due to wiring.

Love the look though. Stoked.

when you get a chance, do you mind taking a close-up pic of the rocker panel? the description makes it seem like most of it is black with a touch of chrome, but it actually looks all-chrome in these pics. either way, it looks great, but i'm just curious. thank you.

Here it is. It's mostly chrome with black trim. I wanted black trim, but it sounded like you could get it color matched to the car.

Thanks. The rocker panels and the spoiler add attitude to the car. Both really stand out on the pearl white too.

Just had the 19 inch black sport wheels installed. Took a few pics for the curious. What I found most amusing was how excited the Nissan service guys were, as they said I was the first 8th gen Maxima they got to work on. Cool group of guys at Carson Nissan in LA. Highly recommended for any of you in this area.

Those wheels make the car look completely different, love the aggressive look and stance. I plan to get those on my Gunmetal SR when I order.

Just goes to show you that a few small, tasteful mods can REALLY take a car over the top. This looks like a legitimate $50,000 automobile. WELL DONE, sir!

Edit: That floating roof element really stands out in white against the dark tint. Just BREATHTAKING!
