Should I Buy: 04 6Speed Manual

Hey, guys currently looking at a 04 Maxima with the 6speed manual transmission with 140k on it, dealers asking 3500.

What I'm really scared about are all these crazy transmission failures I see/hear about. But I've also heard the transmission problems don't apply to the manuals, any truth to this?

Thanks in advance guys.

im not 100% but i believe there are more issues with the 6th gen than just the auto transmission problems

its the first model year of the worst generation of maxima, with high mileage where things start to fall apart

id skip it man

04-06 6 speed manuals are fine, in fact they are actually better than the 02-03 6 speeds manuals.

Ignore the negative comments here, anyone who starts their comment with "RUN AWAY" should be ignored. I've had my 6spd for 4yrs now and the biggest job to date has been the infamous timing chain rattle which cost me $1100.

No car is perfect. If you dont want to deal with the possibility of car problems buy new..or invest in a bus pass
