My DIY 2014 limited edition sv

As many know I recently traded in my white 2010 maxima for this 2014 sv with navigation and tech package. Big step up for me, I want to keep it classy yet sporty. I think the limited edition maximas are pretty sick, and thought I'd give it a shot....I absolutely love how this turned out. The anthracite plasti dip is a true gunmetal, I topped it with 4 coats of the glossifier. Also had my windows tinted on weds. Let me know what ya guys thinkName: 72C19DAB-249C-4B87-8BA1-D4DD6E8D9925.jpg

Wheels look great. I have the dark Nissan hyper wheels on my 2014 SV Sport and when I saw your first picture I did a double-take and thought it was a Sport. Honestly, if you threw a rear spoiler on your car, most people would think it was the Sport Trim.
Tommy, how dark are those tints-- 35%? Can't tell because you're under a shady tree but it looks just right on your car.
What's next on your list of things to do? ;-)

Thanks jrod, ya I'm loving this contrast even more then then my white with the black accents. I opted for 35% this time around as I was getting hassled by the po po for my 20%. Never a ticket but a hassle being pulled over. I think next is going to be spoiler, and I'm done. Maybe a rear sway bar.

I'm done with the lowering though, on my 2010 I had the eibachs and it looked awesome and handled great but it was a very rough ride. I'm liking the comfort I got right now, not having to dodge every crack in the road keeps my headaches to minimum.

Side note, there is nothing better looking then a lowered 7th gen

The roof spoiler is a nice mod, subtle but looks great. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.

Finally had a weekend in Chicago with back-to-back rainless days so I finally installed mine. Think I've had it for a few months now waiting for the perfect weather to install... LOL

Got the spoiler from Ebay--- from seller Shadow.Speed. It was $55 (can't beat the price) and comes with a tube of adhesive promoter for the 3M tape...

great job on the wheels!

Just out of curiosity, how many cans of each of Anthracite and Glossifier did you use for the project?

I ordered 3 cans of anthracite and 2 glossifier, used about 2 1/2 anthracite which was about 5 coats each wheel and 1 1/2 gloss which was about 3-4 coats each wheel. I've experimented with different colors in the past, black, white etc.... IMo this is best color plasti dip has come out with, especially the gunmetal....looks no different then the factory color

No I'm going to leave it for now, I was thinking of it. Probably going to vinyl wrap the window trim or I might leave it. When I had the white max I didn't think the chrome looked good, with the brilliant silver I think it goes well.

I want to order one but it says that it ships as flat black not glossy like description. Did u order flat black and paint it? I have the super black max and want the glossy.

It came like that right out of the box-- glossy black. Didn't have to paint it. You might want to message the seller and clarify...

Carwashes and all that are fine its more than enough adhesive needed. its the heat that will get it drooping/loosening and such. I hear thats the number one problem with Mustangs with the stock rear shield covers.

Couple questions in regards to adding a factory type trunk spoiler. First is it ok to add a spoiler to a lease vehicle? I understand it can't be removed when I trade the car in.

Second question, the company that I bought my last spoiler from has my color code listed as k23 liquid platinum metallic, and my code is "k23" brilliant silver? Is this the same color? Should I just email them anyway before making a purchase to confirm?

Sorry didn't want to start a new thread for a naive question

Yes, it's a slightly different grille. It changed in 2012 or 2013.
