wheel offset

anyone know whats the widest and lowest offset 15 inch or 16 inch wheels we can go before we have to put camber or rolled our fenders on the 3rd gen.

I'm running 18x8.5 XXR 531 wheels with +35mm offset. I have H&R #3065662 15mm spacers too which gives me an effective offset of +50mm, again with a 8.5" wide wheel.

I despise the way negative camber looks and my front wheels are totally zeroed out camber wise. I am pretty much at the absolute limit in terms of fender clearance. If I had a wider tire the tires would rub the front I'm certain. I'm confident I'm as "flush" as I can be and still maintain zero camber.

I did have to roll the inside lip of my rear fenders a bit. But on those that lip is so wide you have to roll those in most situations even if you're not even remotely "hella flush".

You can see here how it's pretty much on the outer limit, more than this or even a fatter tire and I'd have to mess with the fender

nice!! wouldn't +35 and a 15mm spacer giver you +20 instead? i was under the impression adding spacer would lower your wheel offset to +20?

anyways what size tires are you running? stagger? or square setup?

im trying to get the best offset wheel with the widest tires i can fit under stock fender. without any camber or pulling the fenders. i dont mind rolling it but thats as far as i want to go.

btw nice ride, i have the same exact color max too hehe..

Actually, you're right. I wasn't even thinking properly last night. I was thinking in relation of distance from wheel face to the hub but now that I think about it it's all just in relation to the center of the wheel. So yes, + 35 offset and a 15mm spacer gives me +20 net offset

I'm running 225/40/18 tires. No I'm not doing any stagger stuff - I think staggering wheel or tires sizes on a FWD car is stupid. I'm not sure what you mean by "square" setup. All 4 of my tires and all 4 of my wheels are the same size.

do you have any shots of your car from the front view? i want to see how far the wheels "pokes" out from a +20 offset. seems like these max can handle pretty low offset.

yeah +20 is reallll close to the edge.
James i think there's a *slight* chance for a 9" wheel if the stars and moons are all lined up perfectly.

You can see the lip of the wheel actually sticks out just barely past the fender. A fatter tire wouldn't fly

I actually had 245 40 18's on mine. I only had 1/4" spacers on the back which kept my back wheel not much more than an 1/8 of an inch away from the rear shocks. It looked very tight but would never rub over bumps the only thing was when turning the wheel all the way i'd get a little rubbing on the inside. I just went down to 235 40 18 last summer but if i remember correctly the proper 18's to keep the speedo right was 225 40 18 but that was over a year ago the tire guy told me so i could be wrong but im pretty sure that was it. Even still the 245 40 18's i had on only threw the speedo off by about 3 km's or so. Nice rims James! I have something similar spoke wise but in black with chrome lip being my car is silver i figured chrome might be a little too much silver so i went with the black and over the years i've been seeing more silver cars with black rims. Maybe now i need to paint the car and switch up the rims lol which i suppose would be o.k if i hit the lottery anytime soon lol.
