best/lightest wheels for 5.5gen

I want to get some slicks and go to the track. I own a salvage yard and have access to a lot of oem used parts.

What should I look for? 15" steels? 15 alloy wheels? or 16 alloy?

and I read that 26x10x15 is a good size for 15" what about 16"

I could go with drag radials instead of full slicks too.. What do you guys think..

BTW, I haven't been on here since 2002 when I sold my 4th gen...

I guess no one comes to this section..

anyways.. I tried some 15" sawblades on and they don't clear the caliper.

Any suggestions on what everyone is using on the 03 max up front that is 15" and don't need spacers?/

I found some 16" steel from an 04 Altima that fit. any ideas on what size Et streets I can run on a 16" wheel?

Lightest OEM 15s will come off of a 95-96 (I think) Mazda Millenia, weighing in at ~11lbs a piece and are 15x6 +50. I made them fit on a buddys 5.5gen by grinding the caliper down for the fronts and removing the stepped lip in the center of the wheels for the rears. Next lightest will be the 15x6.5 BBS off of an FC RX7 Convertible at ~12.5lbs with a slightly lower offset than the Millenias.

Lightest OEM 16s are the FD RX7 16x8 +50. The weaker/lighter version is known to crack and weighs in at 13lbs. I think they will be ok for drag strip use only. The newer reinforced version weighs just a hair under 16lbs.
