2009 nissan maxima whining noise
i have a 2009 nissan maxima and it recently started making a whining noise upon acceleration that is similar to power steering, and the brake light on the dash comes on everytime i press on the gas, to make the noise go away i let off the gas , let the rpms go down and then slowly get back on the gas, has this happened to anyone ? or has anyone heard of this problem if so please let me know. Vehicle has 90,000 miles. engine oil good, power steering fluid good, could it be axels?
axles do not whine they click whining typically would be power steering pump, fluid might look good but pump is failing. another thing thats works like that is your water pump in idle does it make that noise . as for brakes check your fluid level have you done anything in that area recently check for codes
i havent done any work to the vehicle other than change the oil , replace motor mounts, and replace pass. axel... and it makes the noise on acceleration and quiets down on idle but can still be heard. i put fluid in the resiviour and the light quit coming on thanks for that one.
