XM Sirius deals?

Has anyone received any deals for continuing their XM radio? I'd love to keep the service going, including some of the in-car perks like fuel prices, sports, weather alerts, traffic, just don't want to pay the ridiculous costs.

As you know, the monthly charge is $14.99. I received an offer today (eight weeks after my Maxima purchase) from SiriusXM to get 5 months for the price of 2 ($29.99) or 1 year for the price of 5 months ($99.00). These are 'Introductory prices.'

But there are fees and taxes involved, so the total prices are:

Regular price for 1 month - $17.07
Special offer for 5 months - $34.16
Special offer for one year - $112.76

Those prices are if you pay by credit card. If you pay by check or money order, there is an additional $2 'administration fee' per order.

To handle this with Sirius by phone - 1-866-347-4047
To handle online, go to siriusxm.com/GreatOffer1

Hope this helps.

I remember when I was paying 54.00 every quarter... Glad I jumped on that lifetime subscription when I did 200.00 all in.

Disregard my previous post, just found that lifetime agreements are no longer offered. Ugh.

Let us know what you do. I am still on the trial free period. Every time I did renew the 2010 Maxima on XM, I had to call and request cancellation, at that point, they will try the "hail Mary" and usually give you the "deal" which was the best pricing they offer. I believe the earlier poster has the correct numbers listed. We just paid it yearly.

Their system is more reliable as to the renewal cancellation process. That was because they were sued and lost. Now they make an effort to notify you that you must cancel if you no longer want it. If you have an account with them online you can simply click to renew for 1 year [ only ] at an $89 plus tax etc payment.

UPDATE: I was quoted the above price of $112 for the year for the radio, but this does not include TravelLink which provides the gas prices, weather alerts, movies, stocks, aka the Infotainment features in our cars...this costs an additional $22 plus tax a year...was quoted almost $160/yr with taxes for everything...a bit pricey for me..the good news is you CAN purchase TravelLink by itself without buying the radio.

I received a letter offering the 5 months for the price of 2. It gave a website of
siriusxm.com/yousave2. When I started typing that into my browser, there several yousave offers - I chose 10. I ended up getting 6 months for $29.94 = 4.16 for a total of $34.10.

Great news. Assume that was just for the XM/Sirrus and not traffic and weather

I don't really understand. How long is the free trial? I've had my mine for 5 months and have not received anything from Sirius XM about renewing and the service is still active in my Platinum. I looked for an expiration date in the car, but couldn't find one. Is there a way to tell when it will expire?

Free trials are normally for 3 months...maybe you got some kind of deal thrown in for additional when you bought your car. While on the subject there is FREE XM preview now thru Dec 2nd.

yep i call every year at renewal time and just tell them i want to cancel because it's too expensive. they usually try to sign me up for a shorter subscription period like i'm too dumb to realize i'm not paying more for their service that way after getting passed around to about the third person they offer their deal

On a previous car, I ended up with 18 months free. I later found out the dealer didn't inform Sirius about selling the car, so it was on some sort of dealer free trial the entire time. It is what they do so people can check out Sirius during test drives. You might have lucked out for a while...

At my last renewal, I got the XM Select for 6 months. Paid a total of $26.56
Have to call every 6 months and threaten to cancel but worth it to get the discount...

I don't even know how they're still in business... There are apps which offer all of their services for free and probably more accurate with crowd sourcing... I have just received three months service(I have a '10 SV) and I barely use the radio.. I'll give them a try on my upcoming road trips.
