If you go to the XM website, it will tell you what you need to get XM going on your head unit. You'll need the reciever, antenna and XM service @ around $10. You may need something else it your stereo is not XM ready.

Re: Re: XM radio work with stock HU?

You need to get the FM tuner (plugs in to your OEM HU) or a the other one which will just let you plug in a cassette adapter.

To date only Pioneer and Sony has these aftermarket tuners available for XM. Check out Crutchfield for more information about the models.

If i were you i'd wait for Sirius to come out. Why? Well, sure it's a few bucks more each month but they have more commercial free channels than XM.

Then again XM ain't bad at all

I don't know where you got your info from but judging from each website's info:

XM - 100 channels, $9+/mo, some music stations have ads
Sirius - 100 channels, $12+/mo, 100% ad-free music stations

Sirius satellites also fly closer to the earth's atmosphere and there's 3 of them. XM's is using geostationary satellites. Though it's still yet to be determined which is better i'd rather wait until both of them are in the market and stable - then make a final decision.

Of course, your mileage varies

I don't know were you got your INFO.

XM is only 100 channels, hence there whole slogan:"100 channels 100 choices"
