I have a 98 5 speed and a while back my clutch went out... Was short on money but had to get to work so I drove it with no clutch at all... The syncro on my 2nd gear went out and I'm trying to figure out how I can fix that with out having to change the whole tranny if its possible. If not possible I'd jus lyk to know cuz if that's the case instead of jus getying the regular tranny I want to try the vlsd. If I can fix the syncro I'll just do that though.

 

Fixing the syncro involves taking the transmission apart, then removing the shaft. A machine shop could install the synchro in the shaft.

More likely, you need to find another transmission.
