Part name

I need help to identify this piece that has broke in my 97 nissan maxima. It has to do with the trans because it squirts out red trans fluid. Any help? The part circled is the part i need the name of to order a new one or call around and see if i can get one used its like a cover for something the part you see with the bearings rotates as the axle spins. Any one have the name of it or know it?

If you have an AT after 1997. But with no details, whatever.

Nissan Part number: 3139580X20

Took less than 3 minutes to find. But finding that part new..... That's another story. Might have to buy used, if it's even listed anywhere.

There is a gasket behind it that is probably the source of the Transmission Fluid unless it's cracked, or the seal around the opening. "Cover-Side Tran(smission case)" doesn't usually crack without some sort of trauma.

If the case side cover turns out to actually be needed it appears that it's still available from Infiniti.

ouch! never seen that get broken, only way it brake like that is dropping it and crack the casting of the iron. and look like you're missing couple of ball bearings too. So what I can see, the cover, you would probably have to go junk yard to get it, otherwise it's likely Nissan sell the whole tranny unless they sell that cover plate, no name for it.
