Taking care of the leather seats

This is my first car with leather interior. Is there anything special I have to do to take care of it? Is there any sort of leather conditioner I have to apply to the seats?

Modern auto leather seats need no conditioning. Factory suppliers already coat the leather to protect it from spills, oils, sun, drying out, etc., so chances are your conditioner will not even reach the leather parts. Doing research I found that leather conditioners are a waste of money, unless you just like the smell. Probably only a small percentage of your "leather" is real anyway. Much vinyl in there, esp. around the sides and back, so if you know where the vinyl is then use vinyl care for that. Best to just read care instructions in your owner's manual. Your mfg. knows your car better than those making $$ off of aftermarket care products. Now as far as your beloved, expensive baseball/softball glove, well it does need conditioning from time to time.

In spite of what was written earlier, I use Lexol and it has really softened things up on the leather surfaces. My local dealer uses this as well.

I use bucket of warm water and micro fiber towel to wipe the dirt off. If its really dirty i just drop two tbs of hair conditioner and use tooth brush to agitate it, be gentle with the brush. Do pat dry it.
