True Cold Air Intakes for the 8th Gen - CGR

Hey guys,

Thought I'd share this guy is making custom True Cold Air Intakes for the 8th gens. I've read a few reviews that claim great quality and noticeable power gains.

Much better than these junk warm air intakes that companies like Stillen are selling to people.

Looks like the guy is a vet or active service too so would be awesome to support him DM him on instagram for details.

Might have to set up an instagram account. Takes a minute. I tried to find a website for this guy too. I would definitely buy this.

+1 on the Warm Air Intake BS that Stillen is pushing. They should know better.

Exactly, altough the filter oil could prevent it, at some point.

I would like to ask: Does the pipe material "soak up" the engine heat??, because is a looong pipe.....

I don’t use the oil because is bad for the map sensor.

If u use to much oil then yes. But if u lightly dust the filter like directions tell u to. Oil will never be introduced to the intake. I have oil type filters on all vehicles and motorcycles I own.

The filter does not need large quantities of oil. I used it in my 94 and 97 Pontiac Firebird Trans am without a problem. But I cleaned the MAF sensor with an electronic cleaner fluid each 10 000 kms, just for my "obsesive" way to maintain my cars.

My former 2010 Altima SR, had installed the no oil air filter from Takeda....but, the used engine oil was more dirty than " normal" so to speak. There was a before and after test.

My 2016 Maxima SR with K&N oil air filter, seems the used engine oil is less dirty....

....my Nissan mechanical technician opinion.....

I change the engine and filter oil each 3 months because I live in dusty (carbon and sand) roads...

Still oil is not keeping water from sucking through their engine . I lock my engine in my spec v with a real cold air on a raining day. I like this set up it looks great but not for me. My max is not a garage queen.

That much is true. Same with mine. I don't even have a garage to put it in.
