Midnight Platinum...

This is my 2017 platinum with SR rims. I recently had chrome deletion done by Luis of LsGraphix in LI. These guys do anything you can think of when it comes enhancing the look of your car. He added a little signature touch on the headlights with the carbon fiber wrap. I would like some feedbacks and any ideas of mods. Trying to keep it clean and sexy.

I personally wouldn’t go with carbon fiber wraps on headlights but other than that your car looks awesome. Remove back badging it’ll get much more cleaner look.

I want to add a black premium spoiler to my white premium eventually. I think the premium spoiler looks better than the sport spoiler for some reason. I liked the sport spoiler on my 7th gen, but it's not catching my attention on the 8th gen. It looks weird to me.

NisCal17 - I'm feeling it out with the carbon fiber on the head lights. It definitely gives it an aggressive look.

drakutis - yeah, I agree with you. The SR version was a little too much for me.

Thanks jdizzle316. As for the price for the rims, not sure. I'm glad I was able to get them on the car when purchased

correct! found these in a black chrome finish too... have another set in my garage if you want to buy them... they are powder coated dark graphite, but have some curb rash.

That all black Midnight looks great. I wanted Black but I couldn't find it. I went with the white because I liked the black and white contrast.

I dig the black wheels for sure with the darker colors. Question though. Being Platinum and the heaviest model out of the bunch. Would it slow down the car that much since more drag is being put on it with the bigger wheels?

Great observation. The bigger the WHEEL (of which the rim is part of) does actually slow the car down do to the increased weight and the inertial drag. One solution is to get a true forged wheel. The tire/ wheel weight savings show show up in better acceleration and economy.

That said, many of you are going for cosmetics and I get that. This is one of the few cars that just looks fast when sitting

.
And if looks don't matter, you can both lower your car and get better acceleration with 16" tires

Agree with you both as far as the weight is concerned, but I'm looking to keep her as original as possible. I was thinking of lowering but I have a 10 month old son and I wouldn't want to loose the quality of the ride. That's why I didn't go with the SR. For now looking fast will work. Lol

So think about this idea. What are tailights for? Are they ornamental? Anything you do that decreases your visibility especially when stopping my not be a great plan. Window tinting also decreases the value of the higher mounted stoplamps as well. Don't do it!

what do you mean? any tint shop that does window tinting legally will do a cutout for the center brake lamp. at least here you wont pass saftey if you dont have the cutout

Thats really good if they do it. Most all of the tinters around here cover the whole window - maybe not legal but done that way just the same.
