likely culprit- fuel injector?
I have a '95 5spd that I have owned for over 3 years. It has 96k miles, have replaced spark plugs, int man gaskets, valve cover gaskets, fuel filter, pcv, all about 2 yrs ago. It has been a smooth running motor until now. I have just got it its yearly inspection and went home after. Yesterday I go to start it and it has an obvious misfire, like a cylinder down. No codes. Started it today, still same misfire,no code. So while it is running i unplug each coil pack, one by one,and all but one does not change the sound of idle. The one closest to the wiper motor, not sure which cylinder that is but all others that i unplugged caused an audible change in idle and this one did not. So I initially think coil pack. I switch coil pack with one in middle back, and still no change. So that rules out coil pack to me. Pulled spark plug ,seems normal, switched plugs from rear middle to dbl check that and still no change. So that rules out spark plug to me. Am I right to think its the fuel injector that is not working? All coil clips and wires are fine and connected properly. If it is fuel injector where is best place to get a decent set as i would replace all 6 . Thanks for any response.
This does seem like the injector. You might want to remove the spark plug. It may smell like gas and have fluffy carbon deposit. Your exhaust might smell like raw gas. Perhaps the car is a bit hard to start in the morning.
If you can manage without your car for a few days, consider having the injectors professionally rebuilt.
InjectorRX cleans, rebuilds and flow tests the injectors. They charge 18 dollars each.
I sent them my set of 6 for rebuilding.
I was quite pleased with the results.
You could just service the rear 3 if money is an issue right now.
There are some associated items which are quite easy to get at while the intake manifold is off.
This would be a good time to clean the egr tube an egr system. It's a bear to deal with otherwise.
The knock sensor is also easily replaced.
They are not that expensive now.
Again, it's a bear otherwise.
Also take the opportunity to replace the fuel filter and associated rubber hoses. Buy ordinary fuel injection hose at the local parts store.
I have no problems with fixing additional stuff if I'm in there anyway.

I recommend buying OEM injectors
Bosch 62027
Hitachi FIJ0023
Beck/Arnley 158-0861
All three are the same and are the actual OE injectors.
One thing you need to know is that they do not come with the O-rings. Those are sold separately.
Beck/Arnley part number 158-0957
You will need a package of O-rings for each injector. So if you replace all six, you will need 6 packages of O-rings.
Also, the screws will be galled. You will not be able to simply unscrew them. You'll have to get a vice grip around the screw and turn it that way.
Obviously, you'll need new screws. Hillman #4402 screws have a hex cap on them. You can get them at the Home Depot or anywhere else screws are sold.

I agree with this if the original poster has the funds.
I recommend rebuilding the original injectors. Those should have the same parts numbers.
The rebuilt ones I have are doing fine after an additional 40k miles.
