Alternator keeps failing to charge

My car went down on 12-23-19 due to an alternator issues. The battery light and parking brake light came on, now no matter what alternator is put in, it's failing to charge the battery. I don't know what alternators they're using but, the first one they put it was a car quest one. All grounds and wires were checked and deemed good. What could it be? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Your battery is probably toast. Put in a new one, even if it was tested good.

Multiple brand new batteries were changed too. The battery is good....

Are you seeing ~14v at the battery when the car is running? Any blown fuses?

Is there a dedicated fuse for the alternator? I don't have my car, it's a the shop. It's an 09 maxima

Scoonie05, have your mechanic buy an OE alternator directly from the dealership, it will cost you a little bit more but it will fix the problem. I had the same issue with my 2003 SE Maxima, it went thru 2 replacement alternators that my shop bought from O'Reilly's and AutoZone. Each time the new alternator would work fine for about 5 or 6 days and stopped charging, my battery was less than 6 months old at the time so I knew it wasn't the problem. I paid about $400 for one from the dealer and that solved the problem.

Or it may be time to have your mechanic look at the IPDM/ER, Battery Current Sensor and ECM. Especially the Connectors on all the above. These components direct the alternator to charge and how much current to produce. You will see the ECM as the module next to the battery, the Current Sensor on the ground connector and the IPDM on the opposite side of the battery from the ECM. Also, make sure there is nothing else connected to the battery neg terminal (like a radio, lighting, inverter, etc) as connecting to battery directly can interfere with the BCS and thus the charging from the alternator. Please let us know what you eventually find out as this has been a unique issue.

Maybe fans are causing parasitic drain

When you start the car do your fans turn on? On start up?with out heating the car up to temperature?
