Rear tail light help

My rear tail light on the trunk went out, the part that lights up red. Does anyone know the bulb part number. Im not even sure what to call it in a search. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know offhand if it's an LED or not, but looks like a Sylvania 7440 variant is used according to their bulb finder.

OP - to be sure you might want to check your manual on or about page 8-13. That chart should detail the bulb number for your '16. So far as I know model years 19 and '20 use LED units.

Exactly. If it's an LED taillight, you're buying a new taillight.

What year is the car? Which light was it exactly? One of the lights on the rear or the trunk brake light? LED's didn't come to the rears until 2019 model year. I put the 2019s on my 2017 (looks good, better than the all red). So if your Max is older than 19 all you need is a bulb (or check the wiring although I doubt it would come loose do to the nature of the connectors being so lock into place). The LEDs are about 300 for each side, 140 for each reverse light, non serviceable. You get to throw away all that plastic of the failed unit. I doubt yours are LED's, unless the lens gets shattered or cracked and lets moisture in, the LED's should last longer than the car.
