Question Which 7th Gen Maxima Is The Best?

What 7th gen year is the best or more reliable at this period if I was to buy a used one? I love the 7th Gen body style WAY WAY WAY more than the 8th gen. I currently have a 2005 SE. I've also owned two 95's and a 97!
Honestly, for my next car its going to be used because I'm a poor MF. My question to you is which 7th gen year do you prefer and why? Maybe I will get a 2014 if I can? I know over the years with a body style improvements are made so my assumption is a later year of the style would be smarter to get.

I've got 210,000 kms (130k miles) on my 2005. The engine is great. But I'm getting tired of all the repairs now a days. Body is rusting etc. Toronto weather. Ugh.

These forums dead or what? I guess everyone uses reddit. But i miss message boards. Anyways like I do enjoy all black interior but I feel like I have always had that and wanted two tone. Probably wont even be able to find a two tone interior model in Toronto area anyways so far all the used cars are just all black. White and black interior would be nice too

the ONE thing i dislike about this gens interior is the round vents at the sides. Wtfz?

I think the only differences are the rear lights, rims and the dash area around the A/C controls on the 7th gens. Oh and the grilles. I love a tan interior but could only find it in a white Max in my area. I do love my 09 though black on black.

Hi, WorldWide,

My 2013 SV Premium/Technology has an interior just like that. I prefer the tan leather because I live in San Antonio and an all-black leather gets mighty hot during our endless summers. However, my exterior color which is Crimson Black (deep purple if you aren't familiar with the color) doesn't help.

Cheers,

The best 7th gen is the one you take care of it and maintain it well, and don't abuse it. They are all basically the same car from 09 to 14

The reason I ask is for instance my 2005 had some defects that they later fixed in the following years. Wondering if anyone knows about any for 7th gens

I live in the Phoenix area, same way, as you know, dark color interiors suck.

What year is your 7th gen? I have M1 0w40 in the 2011 and no sure if I would use that again in it and go back with a 5w30, high mileage maybe. And never pennzoil again it burns half a quart in less than 2k miles.

Anything 2012+. I just love that sport grille and the smoke red tail lights. And the panoramic roof is a must!

I agree with you on the 2 tone. Sometimes I find myself wishing I had the black interior, but from the pictures I've seen, the woodgrain accents look terrible against the black. I think that's why most people vinyl wrap it. Personally I really like woodgrain interiors, so the tan works best for me.
