At highway speeds clicking sound coming from passenger side

Clicking sound coming from the passenger side at high speed ..the sound is not loud but still want to know about it. I have 2017 Maxima S with only 16,000 miles.

I've noticed something similar on the driver's side of my 2016 SV. Never figured out what it was...

1. Nail/rock in tread of one or more tires.
2. Bad C/V joint.
3. Bad wheel bearing.
4. Noisy CVT.
5. Bad water pump bearing.
6. Bad idler pulley bearing.
7. Noisy power steering unit.
8. Who knows.

If you had your windshield replaced recently, it might be the exterior black trim piece that runs along the side of the windshield vertically. That piece is apparently really finicky and the tolerances for it are pretty slim so if it loosens up it'll make a clicking sound when the wind hits it. That's one possible guess.

I think I got the reason for it.
I have changed the tyres last week. The dealer has put the pressure as 38 psi.
If I keep it as 33 psi in all the tyres, this problem would go away.
I don't know why they exceed the recommended 33 psi.

Sorry, 38 vs. 33 psi in the tires will not make clicking sound.

I was going to post this same issue recently. I have the clicking on the left side at 70 mph and up on my '18. I initially thought the left rear trim piece between the quarter panel and the roof was flappin' in the wind, but it's nice and tight. Now I am guessing it's inside one of the doors. It would be nice for somebody else to figure this out cuz I'm stumped. Agreed, tire pressure is irrelevant.

I had a similar sound on my 2016 - coming from inside the passenger door (like something cracked off or separated).
On my 2019, I have a crackling sound (creak) coming from deep inside the dash/A-pillar. Could be firewall.

With so many problems being discussed in different forums...I hope I made the right decision to go with a maxima than a Camry XSE

I've always suspected the stupid rocker panel moulding that my car came with, but the driver and passenger sides both seem equally tight.

On my 17 SL that was actually the issue one time, the rocker panel on the passenger side was loose and at 85 mph and above I could hear it wiggling. Tightening it cleared that up nice

Sorry for the double post but I just remembered the mud flap or whatever that sits in front of the rear wheel wells under the rocker panel, that got loose one time too and was causing a ticking sound at highway speeds cause it was flapping around due to the wind at those speeds. Try checking if that's the case too.

It were the shock absorbers at rear.
nissan changed it under warranty and now the Maxuma is all silent and fun to drive around.
