The exterior color is pretty neat. Impossible to photograph. It's grey, blue, maybe a little purple. Door handles painted body color like SR (?).
All cars are locked due to COVID, so best interior shot I could get was through the glass.
IMHO, give me that exterior with Platinum Reserve (Rakuda Tan) interior. The red is kind of awful and cheap looking (think public transportation). Thankfully the steering wheel is all black. Unfortunately the silver gauges wash out, as I expected.
I may be the odd man out here but I like that interior. It's not "red" like you called it, it's more of a cabernet. If it truly was red, then I would agree with you, but the cabernet looks classy to me. Not sure how I feel about cabernet with that color exterior though... would be better served with white or black exteriors IMO. That color exterior is hot though.
With this color exterior, raduka tan interior would probably go better together.

It's still the same car doesn't worth the $46 grand for me.
Naw you would never pay 46K for this car! That's the issue with Nissan, inflating the MSRP then leaving it up to you get the discount the best way you can.
That is why the actual price paid makes for quite a spread when compared with other cars. For example, the new Honda...er Acura T series loaded goes for near 50 grand MSRP and they aren't giving many discounts yet. And it is short of many of the Maxima Platinum std features. That's what keeps the Maxima in the hunt for the best value for features included and a great OTD price. 300 hp without a turbo too!
Why does the dealer have to put their cheesy sticker on the trunk lid, especially when they already have a license plate holder with their advertising. Even though they are easy to remove with the right tool...I so hate that.

I rarely see this crap in CA , must be a midwest or eastcoast thing.

I got a lease quote today.
First, take with a grain of salt (they don't have numbers on ANYTHING - not on MF, not on residual, not on discounts...).
But - in general - the car isn't that much more than the 40th Anniversary.
Lease was about $700/month with $1000 out of pocket (36/10k).
More photos. Interior (difficult to get the red color, but based on these, you get the idea). Navigation is snappier/faster/responsive (SEE: version numbers), and there are differences - it says "Apple CarPlay" instead of "CarPlay" on the main screen.
I've included my gauge cluster from 7am local time (dark-ish outside) for comparison. And, yes, I prefer the standard gauges, over the 40th Anniversary ones.
FINAL NOTE - see the fog in the taillight. This is a brand new car with 15 miles. Nissan Nashville final assembly (QA) and/or their suppliers should be ashamed.
oh, and I still can't understand why the hell Nissan can't put shift paddles on a $46k car.
I think because shift paddles were an answer to a question that was never asked. I have them on my Vette and feel they are as worthless as **** on a bull frog! My 2 cents.

I agree 100%. Had 'em on my '09 SV and never used them.

You have an automatic in a Vette. Conversation ended.
I had them in my Nissan GT-R, BMW M5, and numerous other cars and use them all the time. (no, I didn't have a choice of manual vs. dual-clutch automatic)
I really like that red interior, the white gauges look good during the daytime IMO but would be better at night if they didn't backlight the numbers I think so everything isn't washed out. Now if only this came in all black exterior

I didn’t realize the gauge needles were red until the car was on.
All black would have been a better choice based on the interior.
With that said the color is great, they did a better job than Audi, who has 100 shades of grey and some really cool ones - the Maxima 40th looks like Nardo grey with more sparkle (and its darker).

paddles in my last two SRs, use them quite often, if you don't have them you don't know how much they add to the CVT, it seems to come alive using them.
