Are 7th gen and 8th gen aftermarket intakes interchangeable?

Are 7th gen and 8th gen aftermarket intakes interchangeable?
I would like theR2C intake for the 09-15 maxima. They don't make it for the 2016 and up , so can I just use the cheaper 7th gen intake on my 8th gen? It looks almost identical. Thanks for the answers.. I did search for over an hour first
